This policy explains how we handle your personal data, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
ExpatPropertyHub is the controller of personal data collected through expatpropertyhub.com. Contact: hello@expatpropertyhub.com.
2. What data we collect
When you submit a request, we collect: name, email, phone, country of residence, preferred language, and details of your buying project (budget, location, type of service). We also collect basic technical browsing data (see the Cookie Policy).
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to: (a) route your request to the appropriate vetted professionals; (b) communicate with you about your request; (c) improve the service. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request and our legitimate interest in operating the marketplace.
4. Data sharing
We share your request data with the directory professionals we route it to — that is the purpose of the service. We do not sell your data to third parties. Technical providers (hosting, email delivery) process data on our behalf under contract.
5. Retention
We keep request data for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as data portability. To exercise these rights, email hello@expatpropertyhub.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNPD (Portuguese Data Protection Authority).
7. International transfers
Some technical providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, we ensure appropriate safeguards as required by the GDPR.
